Show Dances: Postcards from the Pandemic
We recognize that this past year has been really strange for all of us. Teams have been gathering – or not – during the pandemic as befits their safety. The Ale wants to spotlight what you’ve been doing this year! Send us a “postcard” to show us what you’ve been doing. This postcard could be a video of:
-
- your Zoom Morris dance
- a socially distanced, masked in-person show dance
- a collage of pictures of your team members at home
- a song that your team sang virtually together
- a short video message of hope and happiness
- something creative that only your team can think of!
We ask that your submissions follow our code of conduct and will be reviewed before being shared live. We ask that your videos be no longer than 5 minutes long to accommodate all teams in attendance.
Submit your show dance video by May 17, 2021. Video deadline extended to Friday, May 21, 11:59 pm CDT.
What’s a Video Postcard?
Your team hasn’t been meeting this past year? Not feeling inspired to put together a clever, showy show dance? Yeah, we feel you. We still want to hear from you!
A Video Postcard is an easy way to send a quick hello to the Midwest Morris community. Most smartphones can record short videos. You can also record a group of people on Zoom. Your video postcard can be in your garden, your home office, your garage, under water, someone else’s garage (?) … Morris kit is encouraged but not required. Say hi and share what you’ve been up to!
Submit your video postcard by May 17, 2021. Video deadline extended to Friday, May 21, 11:59 pm CDT.
