Community Health Policy

For the 2025 Midwest Morris Ale, we have decided to implement the following policy:

  • We recommend that attendees be up-to-date on all vaccinations including COVID-19, flu, and any other preventative vaccines, as recommended by your doctor.
  • We recommend that you take a COVID rapid antigen test before you embark on your trip to the Ale.
  • Masks are welcome but not required.
  • For those wishing to maintain a higher level of caution, especially in regards to roommates sharing sleeping air, we recommend coordinating with those roommates on expectations. Any verification of rapid tests or vaccination will be up to the discretion of those in the shared sleeping space. You will be able to make specific roommates requests during registration if so desired – please coordinate these prior to registering for the Ale. Other more cautious sleeping options are tenting or staying off-site.
  • Stay home if you are sick. The MWMA would like to support everyone making the right decision; so we will be offering refunds to anyone who needs to cancel their attendance at the last minute, due to illness.

The MWMA will comply with all applicable laws to ensure the health and safety of our event participants, but no one can entirely eliminate the risk of exposure to infectious diseases during in-person events. By participating in the in-person MWMA, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks. You agree to take any additional steps to protect your own health and safety as you believe to be necessary.
