Registration

Registration has closed. Questions? Please email registrar@midwestmorrisale.org

Join our mailing list to receive updates.

The Basics

  • Registration is by individual. Each attendee needs to register separately. If you are filling out the registration form for someone else (teammate, family member, friend), you’ll be asked for your own information too, so that we can contact you with any questions. If you’re the team squire, we’ll ask you a couple of additional questions.
  • For children ages 6-12, registration is half price (based on housing option selected). Children 5 years and younger will be free of charge, but still need to be registered.
  • If you’re applying for financial aid, review the information on the financial aid page prior to registering and be prepared to fill out your application during registration.
  • Payment is due at the time of registration. The information you submit won’t be processed until payment is made. If you’re applying for financial aid, be prepared to pay an $80 deposit and to complete the financial aid application during registration.
  • When your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email – if you need to make a change after you have registered, please email registrar@midwestmorrisale.org.

Housing

The housing at Camp Lakamaga is a little more rustic than at recent ales. The only housing with connected bathrooms is the Ensuite Bunkhouse. There is a shared Shower House with showers, sinks, and flush toilets that will be used for all other cabins and a 2nd small shared bathroom / shower house for tenting. There are also several motel options within a 20 min drive.

Important note: Camp Lakamaga in its entirety is a NON-SMOKING facility.

Ensuite Bunkhouse – $260 per person *4/29: Nearly full – currently available as a waitlist option

  • Lodging with bunk beds shared with multiple roommates
  • Limited number beds available
  • Bathrooms available in the same building and are accessible
  • Heated and air conditioned
  • *NOTE: As of 4/29, the Ensuite Bunkhouse housing is nearly full (but a few beds are still available.) To prevent overselling, we have turned on the waitlist option. If you would like to be in the Ensuite Bunkhouse, please choose “yes” for the waitlist option and type “Ensuite Bunkhouse” – we will email you to let you know if this option is still available  and if it is, next steps to secure this housing option.

Regular Cabin – $240 per person

  • Eight micro-modern cabins with 3 bunk beds for 6 people per cabin *4/14 – nearly full!*
  • One cabin with a kitchen and 7 bunk beds for 14 people
  • Shared bathroom / shower house in a different building
  • Heated and air conditioned

Rustic Cabin – $230 per person

  • Four Yurts with 6 bunk beds for 12 people per yurt
  • Yurts have 1 LED light + 1 electrical outlet in each yurt
  • Yurts are heated but not air conditioned
  • One rustic cabin with 2 cots and 1 bunk bed for 4 people – has electricity; no heat or a/c
  • Shared bathroom / shower house in a different building

Notes For Indoor Housing

  • All cabins are furnished with bunk beds and mattresses.
    • If you have a specific need for a top or bottom bunk, please add that info into the “Additional notes and comments about lodging” field during registration. We are not assigning specific beds, however we will include this info on the cabin occupancy list for consideration amongst cabinmates.
  • Rental Bedding is available for an additional $10.
    • Bedding includes: twin fitted sheet, twin flat sheet, pillowcase, bath towel, hand towel, washcloth (Pillows and blankets NOT included)
  • You can specify your roommates and request to be housed together when you register.
    • When requesting roommates, all the members of your group need to make the same roommate requests and all members of your group need to request the same housing tier/option.
  • If you do not list a roommate, the registration team will assign housing based on the chosen housing tier and other listed preferences as possible.
  • Housing options are somewhat limited. We will honor requests as best as we can.

Tent camping / RV – $220 per person

  • BYO tent
  • Rental Bedding is available for an additional $10.
    • Bedding includes: twin fitted sheet, twin flat sheet, pillowcase, bath towel, hand towel, washcloth (Pillows and blankets NOT included)
  • There is a main tenting area with a shared bathroom / shower house nearby, however tents are allowed to set up in other locations as well
  • If you are bringing an RV/Camper, please register as such. While there is plenty of space for RVs, the camp has only one RV hookup with electricity and water (no sewage or pump out station.)
    • If you are interested in the one RV hookup, indicate that on your registration in the comments. No comment will indicate to us that you are planning to use your RV/Camper “off-grid.”

Meals

Meals will be provided by a caterer using the camp kitchen. When you register, please specify Omnivore, Vegetarian, or Vegan for a meal preference. The registration form provides space to share additional food restrictions or allergies, such as dairy- or gluten-free and nut-free. We will try to accommodate requests, but cannot guarantee a wide selection of choices for all food preferences. There will be a separate kitchen & refrigerator space available for those who need them.

Travel arrangements

Volunteers from local teams can be arranged to provide rides on Friday May 23 and Monday May 26. Please provide your travel information on your online registration form. If you need to add or edit your travel information after you have registered, please contact registrar@midwestmorrisale.org.

If you request travel arrangements, we will communicate with you directly. Please make sure you provide a valid email address and phone number so we can contact you.

Shirts

T-shirt ordering for pick up at check-in onsite at the Ale has ended.

We will have an online order and ship option available at a later date, however these will be different shirt style, higher price, and lower print quality than the shirts ordered through registration.

See the shirts page for more information about the 2025 t-shirts.

Sunday Tour To Franconia Sculpture Park

We will not have buses for Sunday’s tour to the Franconia Sculpture Garden and will be carpooling from the camp. We are looking for volunteers with vehicles to be safe and sober drivers on Sunday. If you are willing and able to volunteer to a sober tour driver with your own vehicle, you will be asked to note that during registration.
