Below are descriptions of the committees appointed by the Board of Directors for various projects relating to the Midwest Morris Ale Association organization and its operations. Any community member in good standing may volunteer to serve on a committee, although typically committees have at least one member who also serves on the Board.
Nominating Committee: responsible for officer and Board representative election slate and rotations.
Committee on Maintaining a Respectful Environment: responsible for creating our Code of Conduct for in-person and virtual events, including policies and procedures. The MRE Committee handles all reports of violations of the Code of Conduct or other unacceptable behavior at a community event.
Bylaws Committee: evaluates any proposed changes to our organizational Bylaws.
Ale Hosting Team: this role rotates yearly among Midwest teams, along with the location of the Ale.
Virtual Events Team: organizes and hosts virtual events, including workshops, presentations, and other virtual social events.
Social Media Team: is responsible for creating content, interacting, and maintaining the Midwest Morris Ale’s presence on social media (Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube).
Technology Team: manages technology for the Midwest Morris Ale organization, including website hosting, architecture, and curation; registration systems for events; digital mailing lists and payment systems; and other software and technological tools in support of the organization.
